Programs & Classes : Martial Arts

MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES :
Martial arts students, ages 3-18, are given rigorous training in various styles, and are taken through a traditional belt system. Since its inception, Destiny has promoted over twenty youth to the rank of black belt.

All martial arts classes combine the following arts forms:

* Kajukenbo, Wushu and Wu Chien Pai Kung Fu
* Judo
* Taekwondo
* Shotokan Karate

The martial arts program hosts a Tournament Team that regularly attends local, state, and national tournaments where the team always wins top awards. All competitors are taught that the most important part of their training is to develop respect for themselves and their opponents. Qualified students are asked to participate on the team by their martial arts instructor.

The martial arts program also hosts The Destiny Arts Youth Martial Arts Team, a group of students who perform exciting martial arts demonstrations at various community events. Students must audition.
