Community & Programs Manager
Hannah Klein is the Communications and Programs Manager at Destiny Arts Center, where she works to design and deliver our center-based programs and amplify Destiny’s stories of resilience, creativity, and transformative learning. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, she has been with Destiny since 2015.
Hannah believes that collaborative art-making can help articulate the path to a world in which all people are able to build healthy, fulfilling lives and express themselves freely, and that young people will be the ones to lead us there. She is thrilled to be able to support this process.
Hannah has designed and implemented youth education programs at urban gardens in Ohio, taught English language courses in Istanbul, Turkey, and managed social media for a political advocacy organization. In addition to her work at Destiny, Hannah sits on the Local Council of the East Bay Democratic Socialists of America and maintains a visual arts practice. You can see her photography in the book Maximum Sunlight, published by Oakland-based Wolfman Editions.
Hannah is a Cambridge-certified ESL teacher and a trained Sexual Assault Survivor Advocate. She holds a BA in Visual Arts and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies from Oberlin College.
