Programs Coordinator

Vesta Javaheri is the Programs Coordinator at Destiny Arts Center, where they work to coordinate center-based programs and ensure that our families’ needs are being met. After having grown up in South Pasadena, California, Vesta has been with Destiny since Spring 2017.

Vesta sees the value that Destiny’s work brings to the community and to our families, and they feel incredibly lucky to be a part of it all.

Vesta first came to Destiny as a volunteer while a student at Mills College, assisting Sifu Anthony Daniels in Martial Arts classes at our center through Destiny’s partnership with the Center for Community Engaged Learning at Mills. Also while at Mills, Vesta worked as an orientation leader and as a Social Justice Advocate in the Division of Student Life. In addition to their work at Destiny, Vesta enjoys studying mathematics, training capoeira, and hanging out with their gecko, Puppy.

Vesta holds a BA in Mathematics with an Ethnic Studies minor from Mills College.
